Portfolio Life – Suzanna Taverne

Suzanna was Finance Director at The Independent, Director of Strategy at Pearson and Managing Director at The British Museum, responsible for delivering the £100m Great Court, before embarking on her portfolio career.

Suzanna has been a trustee of the BBC, chaired the single parent families’ charity, Gingerbread and sat on the boards of Nationwide Building Society, Age UK, the Design Museum. She is currently a non-executive director at Ford Credit Europe, a trustee of StepChange Debt Charity and the Shakespeare Schools Festival and sits on the Advisory Board of Manchester Business School.

Suzanna’s portfolio career has spanned business, charities, arts and education and we will be able to learn much about the similarities and differences between these worlds. Members will be also able to quiz Suzanna on what she looks for in a good board, and how, at Gingerbread, she went about selecting her board.
