Trustee with a legal backgroundCHOICE was founded 27 years ago. Our services currently include advocacy, hate crime and abuse work, a training department, befriending .. and we are developing all the time. Our trustees come from a variety of backgrounds; many of us live with disability. We work together to support Caroline, our inspirational Director, and manage CHOICE within our charitable aims. We are based in Hoxton and meet roughly every two months, currently by Zoom. As a trustee you will not be expected to get involved with cases but will bring your legal background to overseeing the general work and development of the charity. Join us for a rich, enjoyable experience.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a dynamic person with a legal background who likes working as part of a team. Experience in the voluntary sector is not essential but would be useful. We welcome trustees with disabilities but our Board includes non disabled people with experience or interest in promoting disability rights. Good trustees tend to be open minded people who are prepared to multitask and opportunities to get involved in developing CHOICE will present themselves. Currently we are considering our organisational management, marketing and expanding our training brief. Income generation is always top of the agenda!
