The Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation (Agri-EPI) Centre, works to provide scientifically robust and commercially viable solutions to improve productivity and sustainability within the food production system. Bridging the gap between theory and application, we empower technology innovators to deliver a positive impact upon agriculture for all our futures. Combining support, expert advice, collaboration and practical application of concept, we enable technologies to become a reality for the good of all.

We are at a time of growth and transition and are now looking to harness the skills and experience of external NEDs to help us realise our vision of a world with agricultural technological driven sustainable food production. Our needs have changed since our inception and we are seeking to bolster the Board with up to 4 new NEDs who can bring substantial experience in investment, finance, audit and/or agricultural technology.

The NEDs will bring an external, independent perspective to the Board; assist with strategy, help develop the business and ensure that risks are suitably managed. They will have a proven track record of Board level experience in an executive and /or non-executive capacity. Specific skills or experience within the agricultural or agri-food sector would be of merit but are not essential; more important is the ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, to make constructive challenge of the Board and executive team in a non-confrontational manner, and financial literacy.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in working to bridge the gap between industry and academia across the agri-food sector in the UK and globally, working with businesses, scientists and engineers to turn their ideas into new products and services that will generate economic growth and help tackle the global issues of sustainability and feeding the world.
