Young Citizens is an education charity on a mission to empower young people to actively engage in society. For over three decades, we’ve been giving young people the tools to understand society’s institutions and tackle its biggest issues.

We are looking for up to three new trustees to join our talented Board to help to steer the charity through a time of exciting change and development.

Who are we looking for?

To complement our current trustees, we are looking for up to two trustees that particularly have experience in:

  • Education, youth and/or social action policy
  • Senior leadership
  • Business or organisational strategy
  • Finance
  • Fundraising/philanthropy
  • Legal

You will have the exciting opportunity to work with our leadership team on the strategic planning and development of our five year plan.

Young Citizens is fully committed to equality of opportunity and diversity to ensure that we reflect the full breadth of society we aim to support. We strongly encourage applications from all suitably qualified people, particularly women, black and minority ethnic, and disabled candidates as these groups are currently underrepresented on our Board.
